Our little frog country

I'm writing this post while there is a real lightning storm; nothing makes me feel better than feeling the true force of nature, and sniffing the smell of fresh rain. I will move to Ireland, land of eternal rainfall!

Anyway, our little frog country, like some used to refer to the Netherlands in the old days, is falling apart. I see it everywhere, and I think even blind people see it everywhere, figuratively speaking.

Individualism and globalism have taken their toll, our culture has finally ceased to be. Because there is no more dominant culture, we find hundreds of subcultures (also responsible for that is our multicultural society), and social order has vanished. We are lost sheep without our culture, like a Christian without his Bible. We have no teachings of how we are supposed to interact with other people in common; we only know how to communicate within our own subculture, which excludes a whole lot of other people. The police has lost all contact with the people, and therefore all respect towards them has been lost as well. Respect, what the f*ck is that?! It's more something Negro's say to each other, respect is something old fashioned.

But what happened to the youths of today? Globalism has taken its toll, yes. Behold: the television only hosts foreign crap, or inland crap. We have pink-dress-princess girly programs, and foreign anime shit for the boys. There is no culture, high graphics delete all room for healthy imagination, and the plots are all the same. What happened to "Zeeuws Meisje" and "Alfred Jodocus Kwak?" Those were the programs I grew up with, they are full of education, respect, and social manners. Culture, is not just the way it used to be, it is the Bible to being a good Dutchman.

Zeeuws Meisje, or Zealand Sweetheart as you apparently would call her, is a superhero-esse that lives in the Netherlands. The time is the next century, that would be this century by now, and the Netherlands is completely full with structures, and it is after "the Great Traffic Jam" which stopped all cars in the Netherlands for good. There is only one thing that still grows here, and it's gherkins, made by the evil August Horks. He wants to tear down the last windmill, to build his great Gherkin Plant; and Zeeuws Meisje tries to prevent it at all cost, together with her dad.

Oh, and she can fly, and has these radar things on either side of her head to pick up trouble... I don't think there will ever be a more cultured movie series than that. I used to love it, and still would, if the capitalist didn't change it for more wanted and less educational action series; without any message whatsoever, let alone culture. Besides, it was extremely hard to find images of her on the Internet.

Alfred Jodocus Kwak, ahh, sweet childhood memories...

Alfred is a duck, who first becomes an orphan after his parents die trying to move from one field to the next and crossing a road, you can guess what happens there. Then he starts living with this- what do you call it? -a groundhog I believe, that raises him as if he was his own son. With tuns of other characters, like his Negro girlfriend, and his friend/later nemesis a black bird, he manages through many adventures. Giving the young watchers entertainment, but also important historical and social messages, like when the blackbird starts the blackbird (political) party, and thus giving young children an important history lesson of the 2nd WW even before they leave kindergarten. Also the Negro girlfriend, as the girlfriend of the main character that every child identifies to, increases respect towards people with a different color. Also, in the early episodes, we find the black bird (Alfred was, like the blackbird, still a young duck) struggling with his different color, and he tries to hide his difference with shoe polish, the friendship between the two is severely injured after Alfred discovers the secret.

I could go on like this for hours... but I'll spare you that. All in all it's a true shame, a horror even, that this is not shared with the youths this day. The government is too retarded to see that keeping this away from our youngsters, is directly affecting the working class of tomorrow. Or is it because they aren't conservative socialists? You do agree with me don't you?

Ah well, I managed to find an episode on Youtube, notice that the professor has a German accent, and that the space ship is really a mill. It's almost more wonderful to watch it as an adult. Oh, it's all Dutch, but I must recommend you to watch all three to the end; it's not hard to understand the plot without text, and it's so full of brilliance!

In this particular episode they give the viewers a message to protect the environment, not just by dumping our gasses and waste on our planet, but also keeping what little true nature there is, free of civilization and other things that would corrupt the landscape.

You know, it has been over ten years since I last heard that intro tune...
it is totally jerking tears.

But of course the bastards have removed the originals from the current programming, and placed this new version instead. Of course it is more graphically detailed, but the most important thing is gone! Where is the culture, the message?! Now it's just one of those stupid children programs that annoys us and gives easy yet useless entertainment to the youngsters. I'm not going to say what I think about the people that make modern television; I might get upset myself. Please try to keep our little frog country Dutch, and try to bring some culture back, before we all loose control of our society.
