A view from the beach, on the lovely offshore platform they placed this year; the fourth you can see from the island. Ugh... stupid capitalists, give nothing for nature. They drill for gas here, like all other NAM-locations in the Netherlands.
A ladybird bugging (haha) me while I was reading my new book called "Mijn meester is een homo", which translates to my teacher is a homo. A very interesting book, about how he managed to survive as an openly gay man teaching on a high school, which got more and more filled with Islamic students. And how it was much harder for him to be accepted by his colleagues then it was by his students -who were very open minded, regardless of their religious background. The ladybird kept bugging me, so I took a picture of it. I couldn't kill a ladybird, now could I?
My mom, who demanded me to take a picture. There you go, don't complain to me that I'm showing you to the rest of the world; you asked for it. She's a bit chubby, I know... women get that when they get older. She'd been in the sun way too much also, besides the health problems you can get through that, she looked like a half-breed Negro. AND her skin started rejecting the burnt upper layer when we got home; which absolutely disgusting. That is one of the reasons I don't like being in the sun too much.
And last but not least; a pheasant, lovely wild animal that got near our bungalow house. This is a male, the females are much prettier I think, because they don't have the colors, they're just covered in brown camouflage, to blend in with nature. After all, they have to care for their eggs, the males don't have such responsibility; they just go out once every year to fuck as much as they can.Well that's all I found worth telling ye about, after all I was only there for two days. Tomorrow's post is already completed, because I kindah forgot to post these images, and again it's a post with a lot of text, so I though I'd spare you the ridiculously long post and save that for tomorrow.
